My passion for eating healthy led to creating my Healthy Cooking Blog and becoming a best-selling national healthy cookbook author. I attended the Cordon Bleu Cooking School, London. However, I specialize in everyday, healthy easy recipes. I was ahead of my time for sure because I started my healthy cooking over 25 years.
I believe in healthy cooking the easy way and understand the demands of a busy lifestyle. However, my desire to feed my own family health-conscious homemade meals was the driving force. The prevalence of diabetes, cancer and arthritis influenced my Eating Well Series. These more health-focused cookbooks also include easy mainstream recipes. I developed my Eating Well series. I worked with the American Diabetes Association for my easy diabetic cookbook, Holly Clegg Diabetic Cooking. Eating Well Through Cancer celebrated its fifteen year anniversary with a new updated and expanded edition. I appeared on The 700 Club with the cancer cookbook. Award Winning cookbook with: Silver Award Winner in two categories in the IBPA Benjamin Franklin Book Awards . Also, it was a Nautilus Silver Award winner in Health and Fitness!
Eating Well to Fight Arthritis focuses on an anti-inflammatory diet and arthritis diet recipes to help with arthritis pain and symptoms. I recently appeared on The 700 Club with my simple anti inflammatory recipes with this book.

I have had the opportunity to appear on so many national shows and most of the top twenty cities local TV shows throughout the United States. All spreading my message of healthy cooking. My national appearances include Fox & Friends, NBC Weekend Today Show, The 700 Club, D-Life on CNBC, and QVC. In November, I appeared again on The 700 Club. I was so excited to recently appear on The 700 Club in May for her arthritis cookbook. Who would think but I have been featured in USA Today, WebMD, the Huffington Post, AOL, and The Daily Meal among others.
My Honors That Are Most Special
Yes, appearing on national television is so cool but there’s nothing like being honored. Some of my special honors included one of the Top Louisiana Chefs of 2011 by The ACF of New Orleans.
One of my most special honors ever was when The Baton Rouge Epicurean Society honored me with the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2016. I was asked in 2017 to be the Master of Ceremonies of this great event and I can’t wait! It is always special when your hometown recognizes your accomplishments.
Holly Worked With Walmart Preparing Healthy Cooking Videos
I have been so fortunate in many of my opportunities. Most importantly, I think I changed lives and made a difference in people eating healthy. I did spokesperson work and partnered with Walmart creating healthy cooking webisodes. You won’t believe this! I actually appeared on the Jumbotron in New York City for a Teflon promotion. (How exciting!) We went there to see my up there on Times Square! In a southern states promotion, I represented diet Coke. Also, I consult with hospitals and cancer centers nationwide and have corporate wellness and menu consulting. As national spokesperson for Louisiana Crawfish and Promotions Board, I specialize in creating the best easy healthy crawfish recipes! I love promoting healthy eating with products I believe in. I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and took advantage of my southern heritage. I cooked and lived in the heart of some of the best seasoning and local ingredients. My cookbooks have southern charm with familiar recipes. There’s so many sample recipes on my healthy food blog. I know all the recipes work because I tests them all myself.
