Forget Take Out When You Can Easily Make This Delicious Easy Sesame Chicken Recipe

On those busy nights do you resort to take out? No matter if it is a holiday, busy time of year or you just don’t have time to cook, my easy Sesame Chicken recipe from KITCHEN 101 makes a great cooking solution.  This is one of those chicken dinners that my kids and even my grand kids think it is the best sesame chicken recipe.  They might love to eat this for their dinner but I never mind making this slow cooker chicken recipe. My Honey Sesame Chicken Crock Pot recipe is actually from the Crock Pot Convenience Chapter in KITCHEN 101. I included this chapter because I know healthy slow cooker recipes are a time saver and important and I have lots of healthy slow cooker recipes on my healthy food blog!

Sesame Honey Chicken from KITCHEN 101

A touch of sweet with a touch of heat in this exceptionally wonderful chicken dish.  Serve my easy sesame chicken recipe over rice. I also serve it with stir-fried rice.

Makes about 6 (2/3-cup) servings

2/3 cup honey
1/4 low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup ketchup
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts (4 breasts)
2 tablespoons cornstarch dissolved in 1/2 cup water
1 tablespoon sesame seeds, toasted

1. In 3 ½-6-quart slow cooker, insert plastic liner if desired, or coat slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray.
2.  Add honey, soy sauce, ketchup, oil, onion, garlic and pepper. Add chicken and mix with sauce.  Cover and cook on LOW 4-5 hours or until chicken is tender.
3. Remove chicken to plate, leaving sauce in slow cooker. In small cup, combine cornstarch and water, mixing well.  Pour into slow cooker; stirring into sauce. Cover and cook sauce on HIGH 10 minutes or until slightly thickened.
cut chicken into bite size pieces and return to pot, stirring. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Terrific Tip: You can buy toasted sesame seeds in the spice section. You can also cut your chicken into pieces before cooking to speed up the cooking process.
